Naomi Hirsch has been with EHSC since 2003. She came to the program with a great deal of research communication and outreach experience from previous positions in the Peace Corps (1990-1992), the University of California (1994-2000), and Extension Sea Grant (2001 - 2003).
Naomi has experience producing podcasts, videos, and K-12 curriculum, as well as organizing community workshops . As a Research Translation Coordinator for the OSU Superfund Research Program, she focuses on online communication strategies and projects that support research and meet the needs of stakeholders.
Naomi has given numerous presentations on utilizing social media and effectively communicating research online. Last fall, she co-taught a graduate course on "Communicating Science Beyond Academia."
After work, Naomi has fun with her daughter, exploring forests, photography, and volunteer work in the community.
