There are many ways to incorporate the Community Outreach and Engagement Core in your research.

Principal Investigators with RO1, R15, R37 or P01 awards have the opportunity to apply for administrative supplements to support summer research experiences for talented and gifted high school students, college undergraduates, and science teachers. Click here for more information about NIEHS supplemental funding.

"...NIEHS will enhance opportunities for young, motivated high school and undergraduate students, and science teachers, to actively participate in environmental health research. By offering an introduction to environmental health science research, the NIEHS expects to increase the number, and elevate the credentials, of the pool of applicants to graduate programs in the environmental health sciences."

Funding is also available from the Murdoch foundation to host high school science teachers within a science lab. Learn more about the Partners in Science program.

Include funding for summer workshops or outreach seminars in NIEHS grant applications.

At COEC, we would be happy to work with you to outline potential outreach events that highlight your research. Please contact us for more information.
